The type of treatment will be different for each client and will depend greatly on the condition of your skin. Treatments may include one or a combination of modalities. These treatments may include but are not limited to professional peels, microneedling, microdermabrasion, LED light therapy, and/or oxygen treatments. We will analyze your skin at the beginning of each treatment and determine the best course of action. The average program length is 6 appointments over a 12 week period and a strict homecare routine must be followed.

Your Commitment

You MUST commit to a series of treatments every 2 weeks. This is absolutely necessary to get your acne under control. The purpose of bi-weekly treatments is to accelerate exfoliation, extract acne plugs as they surface, hydrate the skin and assess your home care routine. If you are unable to commit to the full program right now, we understand. Our goal is to get you clear, and this program is designed to make that happen. So, when you are mentally ready to get rid of the acne and get your skin healthy, we'll be here!

Acne cannot be cured, but it CAN be managed.

Be wary of any product that promises to clear acne overnight, it simply isn’t realistic.

What is acne and why do I have it?

For the most part, acne is an inherited condition of the skin in which the skin cells inside pores shed faster than can be expelled leading to clogged pores. Normal pores shed about one layer of skin cells a day. Acne prone skin can shed up to five times that amount. The build up of dead skin cells, called “hyperkeratosis” leads to plugs within the pore or “microcomedones.” Clogged pores create the perfect anaerobic environment for the P.Acnes bacteria. This bacteria feeds on the oil from your skin and proliferates. However, the oil is not the cause of acne. The oil, dead skin cells, and bacteria together, is where the problem occurs. Other factors that can also contribute to the development of acne include: Hormonal Fluctations, Stress, Medications, Exercise, and Cosmetics.

Our Approach

Our Acne Program uses a comprehensive approach to treat your acne. We combine the power of acne professional treatments such as (but not limited to) chemical peels with professional home care products/regimens, along with the guidance of an acne specialist. All treatments and product selections are determined on an individual basis. What works for one person may not work for the other. For this reason, we keep a watchful eye on how your skin responds and make modifications to your treatment plan as needed.
